Spotify Not Responding After Newest Update Mac

Until last week, adding Spotify was a top request for the streaming music section of the all-electric vehicle. With the latest Tesla software update, known as V10, Spotify is finally directly. Select Spotify, then Link account to Alexa. Enter your Spotify account details. Set Spotify as your default service for music and podcasts so you don’t need to specify “on Spotify” at the end of your voice commands to play music: Tap the menu in the top-left. Tap Settings, then Music & Podcasts. Tap Choose default music services.

I had this exact problem, but managed to fix it literally 5 minutes ago. Don't know if it helps, but what I did was go to the Apple Watch app on my iPhone, go on 'Dock', and added 'Now Playing' to the dock, so that when I press the side button (not the home/Digital Crown button) and swipe along to 'Now Playing' I can control Spotify playback, and the screen looks as described by seanfromllanelli. Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs. Spotify is all the music you’ll ever need. Listening is everything - Spotify.

'Starting yesterday, my Spotify randomly crashed about half way through a song. I could click on other songs, but nothing would play. I then tried exiting the program and when I went to open it again I got the message that said ' the Spotify application is not responding' then after multiple tries. After the last update, my spotify stopped working. It did work previously without problems but this morning it no longer opened at all. I'm using a Windows 8 system.

Every journey needs an epic soundtrack. When you’re on the road, it’s easy to bring Spotify along for the ride.

Here are some ways to play Spotify in the car:

Note: Some cars require Spotify Premium.

Many car media systems offer a Spotify app built into the stereo. Check out Spotify Everywhere to see which ones.

Don’t worry if your car’s not listed, you can check with the manufacturer, and there are plenty of other ways to play in the car listed below.

Use the app to play music files stored on your device, which we call local files.

Note: Files or downloads from illegal sources are not permitted.

For: Premium

  1. On desktop, import your local files (with the 'Desktop' steps).
  2. Add the files to a new playlist.
  3. Log in on your mobile or tablet using the same WiFi as your desktop.
  4. Go to Settings > Local Files and switch on Local audio files.
Note: You need to allow Spotify to find devices in the prompt that shows.
  5. Download the playlist with your local files.

Supported file types

Note: Some of your files may be protected in restricted formats. Install QuickTime on your computer to allow most of these tracks to be played on Spotify.

  • .mp3
  • .m4p (unless it contains video)
  • .mp4 (if QuickTime is installed on your computer)

The iTunes lossless format (M4A) isn't supported.

If your file isn’t supported, we do our best to match it with songs from the Spotify catalog. The version we match with might differ from the original.
