  3. 'Just make sure you have an Android/data/com.spotify.music folder on your external SD card. Once this folder exists, a new option Storage is available on Spotify Settings. There you can swith to SD Card. Worked for me on Adroid 5.0.' Someone else said to just go to that location and create a folder titled that.
  4. Note: For Spotify to save music to an external SD card, the only requirement is that the remaining storage space in the SD card must be more than the phone’s internal storage. For example, if your SD card only has 4GB of space left and your phone’s internal storage has 5GB, Spotify will still save the offline music to your phone’s.

What's the point in having an SD card slot if you can only use it for a few things. It's a very apple sort of thing to do. Can't imagine that Spotify are happy about this, they will be losing my premium subscription as well as other peoples.

Many devices such as mobile phones and some MP3 players, use microSD cards to access music files. You can put music on these microSD cards through your Windows computer. However, you need to have a way to read the card. You will at least need a card reader, which can be built into your computer or an external USB adapter. Some readers may not read microSD cards, but they can read standard SD cards. If this is the case, you will need an adapter to convert your microSD card into a standard SD card.

Steps to follow:

Insert your microSD card into an SD card adapter, which may have been included along with your microSD card. Make sure you slide the lock switch on the side of the adapter away from the 'locked' position. Otherwise, you won't be able to write to the card.

Insert the SD card (where you just introduced the micro SD card) into the card reader. If the card reader is an external USB reader, insert it into a USB port on your computer. Windows will automatically recognise the card.

Go into the 'AutoPlay' window to launch Windows Explorer and click 'Open folder to view files'. Alternatively, hold the 'Windows' key and press 'E'.

Find the music folder, and highlight the music files you want to copy. To select multiple files, hold down the 'Ctrl' key while clicking multiple files.

Hold the 'Ctrl' key and press 'C' to copy the files.

Click the microSD card drive letter to access the card. The drive letter is the first thing you see, if you selected 'Open folder to view files' in the 'AutoPlay' window.

Hold the 'Ctrl' key and press 'V' to start paste the files have been selected. This may take several minutes depending on the amount of files. Windows will display a progress window, so you will know when the copying is complete.
